International 505 World Championship Racing Cancelled for Day 2

Durban, South Africa: - The Race Committee abandoned for the day due to the high wind -- 33 knots -- before any 505s or FDs had launched. The wind is expected to build for the rest of the day. Getting off the beach would be a challenge; if the breeze builds as expected, so would the sailing.

Few competitors seem to be dissapointed with the RC's decision. Most seem to be taking the opportunity to catch up on e-mail, and work on their boats.
