| Main cunningham and Jib cloth - leave the wrinkles in
in light air, and progressively tighten as the windspeed increases. Increasing cunningham tension to depower as the breeze comes on. Pull it VERY HARD for heavy air and when overpowered on spinnaker reaches |

| Jib lead is moved aft for light air AND FLAT WATER. Move it forward for light or medium air with chop. Otherwise leave it at 0 or 1 all the time. | |||||||||||
| When racing light, you may wish to let the ram up BEFORE you start raking the mast aft to depower. Aft rake does depower but you lose pointing. Light weight teams that are forced to depower before 505s are planing upwind may do better to depower with more mast bend rather than rake, until the breeze builds to allow planing. Heavier teams that can plane upwind without depowering can depower by raking as the breeze builds, as all 505s will be planing and sailing a little lower by the time the heavy team needs to start depowering. | |||||||||||
| The bend at rest values are estimates for now. I will try to get more accurate numbers for those who wish to eyeball mast bend that way. | |||||||||||
If the numbers don't mean much to you, read the calibration notes
