Bermuda International Race Week 2005
Sunday 24 - Friday 29 April

I'm writing to let you guys know about Bermuda Race Week 2005, and to see if any of you are interested in attending in 505s. Also, if you know of other New England 505 sailors who would be interested, please pass this message on to them or send me their contact information.

This year race week is scheduled for Sunday 24 - Friday 29 April. Races start on Sunday, with one lay day and one spare day, making four days total of racing. Generally the weather in April is very nice, but not too hot, and you don't need more than a shorty wetsuit and maybe a spraytop.

In the past years the cost for a shipping a single boat (ex New Jersey) was $750. For a double deck $900 and a triple $1000. This will need to be confirmed with the shipping company, but will give you some idea of the approximate cost. There may be one or two boats available in Bermuda, possibly.

The entry fee for the 505 class is $180 which includes the following for each crewmember:

Private housing will be arranged for all guests.

Please let me know if you are interested. Obviously I have lots of great things to say about sailing in Bermuda, afer all that's why I moved back down here from Boston, but if you need some coaxing or have any questions let me know!

- Doug
