NOTICE OF RACE

  1. Organizing Authority

    2. The organizing authority is the Isla Del Sol Yacht Club (IDSYC) and 505 Fleet 15, St. Petersburg, FL.

  2. Venue

    3. 2.1 The regatta venue is the Isla Del Sol Yacht Club (IDSYC), Gulfport, Florida. The IDSYC will be open between 0800 hrs and 1800 hrs from February 10-13 2005.

    2.2 The racing area will be on the Gulf of Mexico, conditions allowing, or Boca Ciega Bay if necessary, St. Petersburg, FL.

  3. Rules

    4. The event will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (except as changed by this notice of race or the sailing instructions), the prescriptions of US SAILING, the rules of the International 505 Class, this notice of race, and the sailing instructions. 505 Fleet 15 reserves the right to change this notice of race.

  4. Eligibility

    5. The regatta is restricted to the International 505 class.

  5. Registration

    6. 5.1 Competitors may register in advance by completing and sending the attached registration form with the appropriate entry fee to Ethan Bixby, 1320 20th St. North, St. Petersburg, FL 33713 (727) 898-1123, e-mail: ethan.bixby@northsails.com

    5.2 Registration will be on Thursday, February 10th, 2005 at the Isla Del Sol YC from 1600 hrs to 1800 hrs.

    5.3 Completed entry forms, and fees must be received no later than 1800 hours, February 10, 2005.

  6. Entry Fee
    1. Entry fee includes three days of racing, one evening meal, and snack/light meal at the Awards venue on Sunday, February 13, 2005.
    2. Entry fee will be $90. Checks should be made out to Ethan Bixby.

      Awards upon completion of racing, (IDSYC)

7.1 No warning will be given after 1400, Sunday January 13th, 2005.

8. Event Format

The courses will be windward/leeward, with finishes to leeward. Final details will be in the Sailing Instructions.

9. Sailing Instructions

Sailing instructions will be available at registration, Thursday, February 10th, 2005.

10. Advertising

This event will be governed by the RRS, Appendix 1, Regulation 20.

11. Scoring

The Low Point Score System of RRS, Appendix A will apply.

12. Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to the drivers and crews placing First, Second, and Third.
