Lets share some pictures and information about the best carbon booms and spinnaker poles for the 505. Which ones perform the best? Which ones are the best value?

Some of the manufacturers that I have heard are making 505 booms and poles are: CST(AUS), Waterat(USA), Southern Spars(NZ), Proctor(UK). Are there any others?

Has anyone made their own?

I have a Selden one which was fantastic in Palermo. Matched the sun glasses and generally looked good. Santa Cruz spring testing to come....

Mike,

Do you use the 76 or 88 mm Selden carbon boom? Any other interesting ideas in Palermo?

No surprises but my pick of the bling was Carter Jackson's CST boom and twin poles with the titanium ends and the custom twin launcher fitting. I don't have the pics, who does??

Although I was not there. I have some pics of Carter Jackson's blingin' dual pole setup. There are more than a few people who are talking about doing this.

I believe that these poles and the boom are CST. There was some talk about the inboard end fittings not being ideal. That is about all I know.
