Hi all you West Coast USA 505 sailors. Can anyone tell me,and everyone else, how many 505s are going to be sitting in garages and sailing clubs while the Worlds are being sailed in SF and are any of these boats
avilable for charter? Might be an opportunity to move some older boats onto some younger guys or overseas competitors struggling with the GEC (cricis what cricis).Loved the French effort to get the young guys back into it!

I would think almost all will be sailing, however we will try and get those that are not being used on the water.

i am local (former) 505 sailor who is eager to get back into the game. i am recruiting for a crew member and may have a friend from Europe coming over to race. he has a 505 over there and we are disucssing traing on it this summer. but i would love to charter a boat for the NA's and the world's in august. so if there is a boat available - i would be delighted!!
