Notice of Race
Kitsilano Yacht Club invites you to the 1998 Kitsilano Invitational
Regatta on July 11,12 1998.
Rules and Regulations
The regatta will be governed by the current ISF Racing Rules of Sailing
and the prescriptions of the Canadian Yachting Association, as well as
the rules of the eligible classes and the regatta sailing instructions.
Eligibility
This is a one-design regatta and is open to dinghies and one-design
keelboats. Classes with 5 or more entries will have a separate start.
Fleets with less than 5 entries will complete in the X Class.
Registration
Registration will take place at the Kitsilano Yacht Club office between
18:00 and 21:00 on Friday 10th and between 09:30 and 11:00 hours on
Saturday July 11th. .
Race Schedule
The start time for the first race will be
Saturday 12:30 July 11th.
No race will be started after 16:00 on Sunday July 12th.
A maximum of 9 (nine) races will be run.
3 (three) races are required to constitute a series
If five or more races are sailed, there will be one throw out.
Entry Fees and Social
The entry fee will be as follows: Entry Fee
Single handed 25$
Double handed 30$
Three handed 35$
Other keelboats 45$
The traditional Kits BBQ will be held on Saturday night. One dinner
ticket will be included with each entry. Additional dinner tickets are
available at 15$ each.
Notices to Competitors and Sailing Instructions
The official notice board is located outside the KYC office.
Sailing instructions will be available at the time of registration. Any
changes to the sailing instructions will be posted on the official
notice board at least one hour before the start of the first race on
each day.
