This week-end 33 boats gathered in Troyes on the "lac de la Foret d'orient". An international fleet from France, Belgium, Switzerland and Great Britain, with the world champion, came in the champagne region to race for "la coupe des vrais bateaux".

If the sun was shinning brightly both days, the wind was totally absent... Thanks to the magic ability of the 5o5 to sail even without wind, 2 races were successfully done: one on saturday and another on sunday.

On saturday, a very light wind was "blowing" (3knots) on the starting line but vanished halfway to the upwind mark. The race was reduced to one lap and Boite/Toupet claimed it followed by Silvestre/Vallaud and Lafortune/Lafortune. Nearly ten boats came off time....

Sunday, all crews were expecting wind but races had to be delayed. Finally, while some crews started to unrig, the race committee decided to try to have a race. The wind was not here at all but a race was completed won by Pinnell/Diebitsch closely followed by Lafortune/Lafortune and Jacot/jacot. Once again a part of the fleet could not cross the finish line on time.

Finally, Boite/Toupet kept the "Coupe des vrais bateaux" trophy and were accompanied on the podium by Lafortune/Lafortune and Pinnel/Diebitsch.
