Some people mentioned some improvements which could be made to both the mold and to the 505, in general. All of these thoughts have been taken into consideration. The builder plans on making the centerboard case as low as the Waterat's to expand the space in the cockpit. If you have any other suggestions they will be glad to hear them.
Some of you mentioned the subject of cost. The owners/builder would like to make this boat competitive with the K.I.S.S. Rondar. Therefore, you should expect to see the price in the $12,000 range. Their hope is to be able to provide a rigged boat w/dacron sails for that price. Only time and a little bit of number-crunching will be able to tell if that's possible. Delivery time(based on receipt of the deposit) should be no more than two months.
You should be hearing more within the next month. If anyone is seriously interested in one of the first boats please e-mail me directly at thurwitch@juno.com.
