Its Thursday morning with the sun out already prior to racing on Day 4. If it heats up "in the Valley", we could be in for another big day out on the Berkeley Circle. There are 2 races scheduled for today with all the crews thankful of yesterday's layday to rest weary bodies and get boats ready to go again. We are not having a lot of luck on GBR8867, with our mast halyard lock slipping as we sailed down to the circle for the two races on Day 3. By the time we returned to shore and fixed the problem, there was no time to get down the race course area. We went for a pleasant sail up under the Golden Gate Bridges and then back around Alcatraz instead! Very pleasant!! For those following the event on the web, there is some great video on the event website. The live race tracking is also pretty amazing. I have added a few more images to the SF image gallery on this site and will add more over the next few days. Time to go and get wet again. |
