The KISS Rondar is US$11,590 INCLUDING SAILS, ready to race, plus shipping. It is rigged to US tuning numbers, comes with a fixed rudder and a gorgeous Milanes and White gybing centreboard. Rake and rig tension - as well as all other key rig controls - are adjustable while sailing/racing, but the control layout is simpler than either a typical Rondar or a typical North American 505 (vang is lead to the seat tanks, most other controls are on the CB cap). The KISS Rondar does not have a mast ram strut, but uses mast blocks to control mast bend (as many European 505ers do) (you can add the mast ram strut and control systems youself, if you want).
One way or another, the first KISS Rondar will be in Hyannis during the North American Championship/pre-worlds and the World Championship. The first KISS Rondar is for sale now.
The KISS Rondar may be the optimum choice for those getting into the 505 class who are unwilling to make the financial commitment for a new Waterat, but want a ready-to-race 505, and cannot find - or do not want - a good used 505.
