Båstad is located on the west coast, in the southern part of Sweden. Båstad is a popular summer resort, especially well-known for tennis, sandy beaches, great sailing and a village full of different activities. Båstad municipality has 15 000 permanent inhabitants, of which 5 000 lives in Båstad village. In summer the population grows to more than 50 000 people.

Båstad can offer a big variety of accommodations, all depending of individual preferences of standard and prices. The 2 best hotels are Hotel Rivera Strand and Hotel Skansen, both located close to dingy park and the beaches, but there are also Båstad Hostel, Båstad Camping and private rooms to rent, and also close by the dingy park. Hamburg-Båstad 480 km. Malmö-Båstad 113 km. Gothenburg-Båstad 170 km. Stockholm-Båstad 520 km. Ferries from Poland and Germany to Ystad (165 km) and Trelleborg(144 km). Major international airport is Copenhagen, easy accessible via hourly direct trains. Takes 2 hours.

The Båstad area offers many activities. The bay has long sandy beaches for swimming and water sports. Golf is popular, with more than 20 courses within 1 hour drive. The hills and forests around Båstad are perfect for outdoor activities.
