MONDAY 20th JANUARY.  A pause in racing today due to a return to high winds provides the opportunity to introduce a group of youngsters competing at the event with, or against their well know experienced fathers.

Will these Young Guns be the next Top Guns?

It certainly bodes well for the future of the most successful 2 person sailing option on the planet.

Hear what they have to say in these short interviews.

SUNDAY 19th JANUARY. Typical Melbourne day. Some cloud, some sunshine, some warm and some cold, hail storms and some lightening. Above all bloody good wind and near perfect 5O5 sailing.

SATURDAY 18th JANUARY. After the windy first day, champagne conditions today. 8 -12 knots, sunshine and an easy going sea state. ” That was the perfect weather for every competitor today” said Mike Holt (USA)

Three races were sailed to make up for the lost race yesterday. Mike Holt and Rob Woelfel (USA) won the day with a 2,1,1. Australians’s Robin Duessen and David Snoad were a close second with 1,2,2.

FRIDAY 17th JANUARY. Continuing wild and windy. Only one race as second race of the day was abandoned.
