Ireland is well known for it’s great craic. We will do everything we can to ensure your visit to Ireland was worth it and lives long in the memories of all.

Saturday 6th August: Pre worlds prizegiving – a casual affair after racing on the patio/lawn. Time to be shared in Whatsapp

Sunday 7th August: Opening ceremony & reception from 18:00hrs in the main marquee. Drinks, finger food and speeches followed by a two piece band on the patio/lawn

Daily prizegiving: Aiming for 18:00 daily prizegiving on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday prizes will be given on Friday with Friday’s. Saturday’s daily prizegiving will precede the overall prizegiving on Saturday evening.

Tuesday 9th August: International 505 Class AGM(time TBC) followed by shortly after by a band on the lawn/patio

Wednesday 10th August: Mid-week party in Fort Camden, Crosshaven. Join us for a tour of the fort which dates back to 1550 and history of Cork Harbour. The tour will be followed by Pizza and beer and we can make our way back to the village after. Additional tickets for family & friends available here. Tours start at 19:00hrs and 20:00hrs. Please make your own way to Fort Camden.

Thursday 11th August: Nothing official planned for the lay day, talk to the team in the office if you need inspiration on places to go and things to see and do!

Friday 12th August: Likely launch of the 505 book with David Henshall, physical copies not yet available

Saturday 13th August: Prize giving, ceremony and party. Drinks from 18:00, buffet dinner from 18:30 followed by prize giving, band, DJ and late bar. Semi-formal wear eg Blazer and tie for the men. Additional tickets for family & friends available here.

Throughout the event for both sailors and non-sailors, you will be spoilt with plenty of things to see and do, a taste of which is here.

The bar will be open throughout the event, keep an eye on the noticeboard for restaurant opening times and it’s advisable to book the restaurant in advance.
